Eurypedia - The European Encyclopedia on National Education Systems

A new service for the Education community in Europe: Eurypedia is a new Eurydice product that aims at presenting the most comprehensive and accurate picture of education systems and reforms in Europe. The site covers 38 European education systems within the 33 countries participating in the EU's Lifelong Learning Programme (all 27 EU Member States as well as Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey).

By choosing a country from the interactive map, you will gain access to specific national education system information, either in English or in the language of the country. The information is provided by the Eurydice National Unit, working with the relevant education Ministry and national experts

The Eurydice network primarily focuses on the way education in Europe is structured and organised at all levels. It provides a vast source of information, including

  • Detailed descriptions and overviews of national education systems  (National Education systems and Policies)
  • Comparative thematic studies devoted to specific topics of Community interest (Thematic Studies)
  • Indicators and statistics (Key Data Series)
  • A series of Facts and Figures related to education, such as national education structures, school calendars, comparison of salaries and of required taught time per countries and education levels (Facts and Figures)
