Gallo-Romeins

The Gallo-Romeins museum tells the story about the lives of the people in the region from prehistory to the early Middle Ages and puts the focus on the relation between cause and effect.

The story presented is illustrated with 2,200 authentic objects but also by means of text, films, evocations, drawings and models. In this way the museum tries to meet the needs and expectations of different types of visitor. The museum was closed for 3 years for renovation, before re-opening in May 2009. During that time, extensive audience research was carried out, focussed on Kolb’s learning theory. The present display tries to meet the needs of the visitors’ different learning styles.
